CFDA Vice Minister Wu Zhen meets Japanese pharmaceuticals and medical devices delegation

On the morning of July 5, 2016, Wu Zhen, Vice Minister of China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA), met with Dr. Tatsuya Kondo, Chief Executive of the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA) of Japan, and some delegates from Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, the Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association, and the Japan Federation of Medical Devices Associations. Both sides exchanged opinions on China's drug and medical device supervision and reform, and the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of drug and medical device supervision. Relevant directors of CFDA's Department of International Cooperation, Department of Drug and Cosmetics Registration, Department of Medical Device Registration, National Institutes for Food and Drug Control, Center for Drug Evaluation, Center for Food and Drug Inspection, and China Center for Food and Drug International Exchange attended the meeting.

After the meeting, Vice Minister Wu Zhen attended the seminar held by CFDA. On the seminar, Dr. Tatsuya Kondo introduced the latest development of Japan's drug and medical device supervision.
